Introduction of Cangzhou Normal University

Cangzhou Normal University is located in the historical and cultural city of Cangzhou. Cangzhou is located in the southeast of Hebei Province. It is 240 km from the capital, Beijing and 120 kilometers away from Tianjin, 220 kilometers from the provincial capital Shijiazhuang, three railway lines and Shanghai, Shi Huang, Jin Shan, Paul Tsang, etc. 12 highways make the city accessible and convenient. As an important birthplace of Chinese Martial arts, Cangzhou  is world-renowned for its Martial Arts culture.

This university covers an area of 70 hectares, with modern teaching equipment. Teaching environment is very good. The total amount of full-time students in college is more than 10,000. The number of full-time teachers has reached the number of 411, among which 245 are professors and associate professors; 176 teachers have doctorate or master degrees.

Cangzhou Normal University has 16 academic departments with 48 distinctive specialties including Mathematics, Physics and Electronic Information Department, Chemistry and Environmental Science, Department of Life Sciences, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Department of Chinese, English Department, Department of History, Faculty of Education, Department of Economics and Management, Department of Fine Arts, Department of Physical Education, Music Department, Department of Social Sciences, 23 undergraduate majors and 48 specialties, covering eight major professional categories: literature, history, science, engineering, management, economics, law, arts. The teacher education is the main with multi-disciplinary blend of complementary distinctive discipline system.  

Martial arts specialty is a distinctive program in Hebei province. The department of Physical Education has a strong faculty, including some inheritors of martial arts and some outstanding young and middle-aged teachers. 2010, we set up a "traditional martial arts institute." 2011 Cangzhou  Normal University was designated as  Hebei martial arts research base and Hebei martial EDUCATIONAL propagation base by Hebei Sports Bureau.

2003 the "wildlife rescue center in Cangzhou City" founded in our school. The center relies on the Department of hospital technology and life sciences faculty, providing aid for injured wildlife, reintroduction and disease surveillance, both in scientific research, popularization, students practice and public environmental education and other functions, which is a non-profit public interest organization.

The department of Chemistry and Environmental Science established a "green chemistry lab." Green chemistry research carried out an earlier equivalent institution. It is Hebei Province's first specialty research areas and achieved significant social effects.

Presently, we have invited a number of Chinese and foreign experts and scholars to come to our school to have academic exchanges. And we have had cooperation and exchanges with the United States, Canada, Poland, India, Malaysia, Korea and so on.
